The American University of Kinshasa in the Democratic Republic of the Congo mission is to work towards equalizing or democratizing the world access to quality higher education so as to advance humanity itself. English is the language of instruction at AUK.
Increasing access to higher education in the world, mainly in developing countries, has the potential to improve lives. There is a humanitarian imperative to bring the higher education classroom to life for a larger segment of the world population excluded for various causes.
Volunteers can help us bring the much-needed higher education to many people around the world in spite of our limited financial resources.
