The American University of Kinshasa in the Democratic Republic of the Congo mission is to work towards equalizing or democratizing the world access to quality higher education so as to advance humanity itself. English or French is the language of instruction at AUK.

Increasing access to higher education in the world, mainly in developing countries, has the potential to improve lives. There is a humanitarian imperative to bring the higher education classroom to life for a larger segment of the world population excluded for various causes.

Volunteers can help us bring the much-needed higher education to many people around the world in spite of our limited financial resources.

The hope is that you will seize this best volunteering opportunity to donate a gift of hope and education.

Our volunteering opportunities include any of the following:

1. Volunteer as an expert: online learning administration, technical support, Moodle support, online marketing, media & public relations, fundraising expert, universities academic alliances expert, etc.;
2. Volunteer as Professor, Instructor or Academic Advisor
3. Volunteer as a member of the board of trustees;
   Member of the university leadership: Provost or Vice-President; Business Administration , Computer Science and Engineering (Deans, Associate Deans, members the Advisory Board).

Remember you can be a full time professor at your university, and still volunteer online in a leadership position at the American University of Kinshasa.
